like kids these days drink it and have obesity, diabetes and tooth problems but yet my grandparents and parents had coca cola and never had problems like that!
Im sure youre grandparents nad parents didnt have loads of 12 packs in the house, computers, tv’s and video games though now did they? Those were treats. Get a coke every once in a while. Go out to eat every once in a while. They were always on their feet playing with friends and working hard. Todays kids sit on the sofa drinking a 12 pack of coke while eating cheeseburgers. that should explain it.
I weigh 85 pounds but most of my friends who are about my same height weigh a lot more. Is this weight a healthy one?
It certainly is!
Thankfully you are ONE girl who isn’t OBESE at 13.
Most teenagers now are overweight or obese to where
it even seems "normal".
But teenagers are supposed to be skinny! Take a look
at European kids age 13-25. They are all skinny! That’s
because they don’t allow the addictive food additives
our FDA is paid off by food corporations to put in food.
You will be forever glad you are a healthy skinny girl
when you see those other hippos getting diabetes &
heart disease at age 30.
What exactly are health inequalities and health determinants, and how are they linked to each other?
Health inequalities are ‘determint’ by your post-code!
I’m 5′6 and I am around 150 pounds. This summer, I’m going to register to a gym in my town and I just need some advice on how to lose weight quickly over the summer. I want to lose around 20 pounds in 8 weeks and drop about 2 or more pant sizes. Help anyone ?
You might not believe this, but if you stick to a healthy dietary habits by eating small meals throughout the day like every 3 hours, protein shakes and copious amounts of water you will lose body fat and maintain size. Things like bread and pasta should be kept to a minimum, they are still needed and are good if you need that extra energy to get through a workout. Just don’t over do them! Losing muscle mass occurs when you are on a ‘diet’ that denies your body the nutrients needed to sustain strength. You can also take some of the supplements on this site to help speed up your weight loss. http://aeleevo.notlong.com
I have a friend who reckons that starting smoking helped him to lose weight. Specifically, he states that his taste buds are less sensitive thus removing his pleasure from sweet foods. Obesity is clearly a huge health risk but by starting smoking is he adding to his problems or is there some truth in this?
It doesn’t necessarily help you lose weight, but it does reduce your appetite by making your taste buds less sensitive. But smoking can lead to a number of other diseases, especially if you are an inactive smoker doing no exercise, you have a really high risk of many diseases.
Obesity is a huge problem but even little things can help in daily routines, like taking the stairs or walking up the elevator instead of taking the lift all the time, or running up stairs at home rather than walking, or walking instead of taking the bus for two stops!
So smoking just adds to your problems and avoiding the obesity issue instead of doing some regular exercise and cutting down fatty and sugary foods from your diet.
Care to comment?
Wow! You managed to compose a question which is both sexist AND racist! That’s impressive!
I have an extremely high metabolism and though I’m nearing thirty I still can’t get over 105 pounds. I am 5′7 and I want to be at a healthier weight. And I’m hypoglycemic! Any healthy suggestions. Think fit, not fat!
When working with kids with eating disorders we have often put them on boost plus…….which is for people who are looking to gain weight…..basically it is just increasing your caloric intake without having to increase amount of food you eat. Other suggestions would be fruits and veggies (baby carrots to name one) which have a high natural sugar concentration. This way you gain weight in a healthy manner and not by increasing carbs which are high in most junk foods, processed foods.
Also you can try taking a kelp suppliment it regulates the thyroid….helps people who are over and under weight as it assists in optimum fucntion!
Good luck!
