Why doesn’t health care insurance charge more to fat and overweight people?

They abuse the system by their very nature. it is disgusting.

They do. Unless its through an employer. Individual coverage for someone who is unemployed or self-employed charge you extra for everything, including being overweight, and having any kind of diagnosis in the past. And thats if they even accept you an an insurance carrier. Alot of people are denied coverage completely if they are obese, overweight a certain amount or the insurance company thinks theyll have to pay out more money because of a past condition or diagnosis.
Now group health plans through your job/employer/boss, dont screen people. They just accept the people and give them coverage because they are under contract with that group. I/E people that work at GM or Ford or something like that.
