Can you all tell me how much weight she should be gaining. I will take whatever number you give and subtract five pounds from it, that will be her target weight. If she goes above that i am gone. I don not want her having loose skin, stretchmarks, or saggy breasts when this terrible time is over.<br />
<br />you dont deserve to be a dad. if you really loved her then you will give her time to lose the weight. if she started out skinny that doesnt mean that she will be fat after she has the baby.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m 24 yrs old and weighing in at 235lbs. I try to lose weight and so far nothing has helped. There&#8217;s nothing wrong with me medically. I joined Weight Watchers and have a gym membership but nothing has helped. I want to lose the weight and actually be able to run for at least half an hour non stop. Currently I cannot run for two minutes without stopping. I&#8217;m looking for any advice to help lose the weight and start running; maybe a routine that has helped you.<br />
<br />Though I&#8217;m a girl, I started out pretty darned pudgy and unable to run if my life depended on it. Managed to lose about 30 lbs down to 115 (and I&#8217;m fairly short, so that&#8217;s a solid difference). Start by running for two minutes and walking for a few. Once you&#8217;ve caught your breath, run for two minutes again. Keep doing this for about 45-60 mins. The next time you go running, push it to three minutes before trying to catch your breath again. You can keep pushing it up more and more over the next few months. You should also work on eating more lean foods instead of things heavy in carbs. Just because you worked out doesn&#8217;t mean you have free reign to eat anything you want.</p>
<p>I used to barely be able to jog slowly for a mile, so far this year I&#8217;ve done four half marathons (all around 8:30 miles) and 2 sprint triathlons, and actually won my age group in the last one (though it was a fairly small one, but I like to forget that part!)</p>

<br />It actually depends on how long you have been working out and what you can comfortably work with.<br />
When I was in the military the rule of thumb was this:</p>
<p>heavy weight+low reps=bulk</p>
<p>light weight+ high reps=cut/definition</p>
<p>For example:</p>
<p>Method One<br />
HIGH/HEAVY WEIGHT WITH LOW REPS=BULK</p>
<p>If you decide to work out with a weight which may feel a little heavy your repetition and sets will be low. i.e. arm curls, 15lbs. of weight. you may only be able to do 5 curls at a time. Those 5 curls will be considered &quot;a set&quot;  so you will have lifted a total of 75lbs in one set. But, each curl is considered a &quot;rep&quot;(repetition). Hence, 3 sets of 5 would be a total of 15 reps, and total weight would be calculated as:</p>
<p> 15lbs.x5reps x 3sets for a total of 225lbs. OR 15lbs. x 5reps=75lbs.x3 sets=225lbs<br />
This method will give you bulk and beef.</p>
<p>Method Two:<br />
LIGHT WEIGHT WITH HIGH REPETITIONS</p>
<p>If 5lbs. is light to you, then you may be able to do 15 curls at a time. Then your &quot;One Set&quot; would consist of 15 reps(repetitions), and if you can do three sets of these it would be calculated as :</p>
<p>5lbs. x 15reps=75lbs x 3sets=225lbs. or  5lbs. x 15reps x 3sets=225lbs.</p>
<p>This method will give you cut and definition.</p>
<p>So, it isn&#8217;t so much in how &quot;MUCH&quot; weight you work with, but, &quot;HOW&quot; you work with it!<br />
 If you had an identical twin, who ate the same as you and worked out with the same amount of pounds as you, but he chose &quot;Method One&quot; and you chose &quot;Method Two&quot;; Than the both of you would have two different types of body styles.</p>
<p>The method you choose depends on what you want to do or be in life. If you want to maintain your speed and flexibility, you may not want to bulk up. However, if you want the body that will slow others in being quick to mess with you than you would want to sacrifice speed for security.</p>
<p>In any case, stay dedicated and natural to yourself. Stay away from steroids they will shorten the length of the manhood in your pants, as well, cause irreversible damage to your health. (I am not kidding!)</p>

<br />you just answered your own question, cardio, lift weights (muscle weighs more than fat) and eat right. You need to increase your carbs, but only eat complex carbs. You should also eat alot of fish. Take a multi-vitamin supplement and do not eat junk food. Eat at least 5 times per day, breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and then dinner before 7pm.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My classmates and I have been told to build a structure made of linguini (uncooked) that will support the most weight. We are told to use a cylinder shape, as it has been most successful in the past in holding the most weight. The weight will be placed on one of the bases. We can only use 30 pieces of linguini and 1 meter of duct tape, and are not allowed to bring in any extra materials. We are wondering what is the best way to build our cylindrical structure with the materials we are given to build the tower that will support the most weight?</p>
<p>ps. We are allowed to break the linguini into pieces, but they are given to us as about 25 cm long. The cylinder must be at least 15 cm tall. We can tape them together in any way possible as long as it is at least 15 cm long and uses only the materials given to us.<br />
<br />The strongest shape would be a tube not a solid cylinder. Use the duct tape to hold the pieces of linguini together side by side and roll to form a tube. Use only the minimum allowed 15 cm for the linguini.</p>

<br />Get an indoor bike, if you ride casual, you will not put to much pressure on your knees &#8211; if you can!  Diet should be protein based with vegetables.  Get some dumbbells so you can do upper body training, shoulder press, arm curls, chest, back, triceps.  You could do leg raises, squats using dumbbells in each hand (if you can), sit-ups for stomach.</p>

<br />Start light, and see what works.  Some people float or sink much more than others.  If you&#8217;re using a wetsuit of some sort, put it in a mesh bag, and add weights until it just floats.  </p>
<p>If you&#8217;re not using a wetsuit, I&#8217;d try just 2-3 lbs, and carry it, don&#8217;t put it on a belt.  You want to be able to ditch that thing in a hurry if you need to.  Then add or subtract a pound or so at a time, and see what feels good.  Practice ditching the weight belt in shallow water until you can do it first time, every time.  An emergency is not the time to find that the belt buckle sticks.</p>
